Dear editor,
I refer to your editorial Stop bombast, start diplomacy.
Perhaps if Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ceased making highly publicised, bombastic, anti-semitic and anti-American exclamations, American President George W Bush and Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak would be more readily convinced Iran is no threat to Middle-East or global peace.
While Mr Ahmadinejad repeatedly calls for nothing less than the total annihilation of both America and Israel, and boasts about his highly trained armed forces and their ability to strike at Israel at any time, one is left wondering how any intelligent observer could say that Iran is a country run by rational leaders with whom one can negotiate.
I imagine that any negotiations entered into with him would prove as fruitful as those between Neville Chamberlain and Adolf Hitler.
